About The Baby Tee Prayer Flags

Since ancient times, the union of cloth and wind has been a powerful way for humans to communicate a relationship with the sacred.
Prayer flags originated from the Bonpo, the indigenous people of Tibet. A form of visible prayer, they convey petitions to the Divine by way of the elements, Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Space.
Prayer flags are at once metaphor and metamorphosis, as they too, undergo the alchemical process of supplication we humans undergo in our quest to experience union with the Divine.
This means of conveyance ensures that the printed prayers are transmitted and transmuted by resonate forces seen and unseen, becoming at once, offering and petition.
This union illustrates the deep connection we humans have with creation as a whole. It emphasizes the practice of reciprocity; a living principle expressed to engender harmony, balance, compassion and conscious interaction with all that is and will ever be.
When particular petitions are printed on the flags and then flown, they are carried around the world on the wings of the wind.

These “baby tee shirt prayer flags” were designed to create bridges of prayers between East and West, past and present, the old and the young, awakening the hearts of all, acknowledging that we are here only as long as there is a world safe for children.
His Holiness Menri Trizin, 33rd Abbot of the sMen-ri Monastery in Northern India, and of all Bonpo people, has blessed the creation of these “little bit different prayer flags”.
He has given his permission to have the image of Sherab Jamma, the Divine Loving Mother of the Bonpo tradition placed upon these flags along with her mantra.

The proceeds from the sale of these flags help generate financial support for the Bon Future Fund, a non-profit fund created to provide higher education for Bon children, particularly ones who are orphaned.
In many cases without funding, these children have no ability for further schooling beyond their 10th grade.
With financial resource, these children can become the weavers and teachers, monks and nuns, the artists and doctors who provide the basis for a sustainable community, contributing to a world ever in need of hope.
